CourseGraphic Generally known as a mountain lion in Wyoming, Puma concolor is also known as puma, cougar, screamer, catamount, igmu takma, shadow cat, ghost cat, or any one of dozens of other names. By any name, this amazing feline is one of the most secretive  and adaptable creatures in the world. Sightings are rare, but increasing urbanization of and recreation in mountain lion country is making human/mountain lion interactions more likely. Join us to learn more about the lives of mountain lions and how humans can modify their own behavior to decrease chances of an unpleasant encounter when in lion country.
