CourseGraphic Europe experienced profound changes in the 1500s. The Italian Renaissance swept north, world exploration brought new trade goods and conquests, and Martin Luther’s 95 Theses was testing and reshaping religion. We will examine Luther’s proclamations and the changes they brought to religion and society. These changes would alter religious and social life, pit countryman against countryman, and propel emigrants to the New World.
