WHAT IS KEY
KEY is a weeklong summer resident program for high-ability students and offers unique learning experiences in the areas of science, computers, language arts, visual arts, and history. Excellent instructors teach and direct special projects in these areas. In addition to the teaching staff, there are 10 counselors, a head counselor, 10 classroom aids, a coordinator, and a nurse.
 
WHERE: Casper College, 125 College Drive, Casper, Wyoming.
 
WHEN:    Week 1: June 7-13
                Week 2: June 14-20
                Week 3: June 21-27
 
WHO: High-ability students who will be entering grades six or seven in fall 2020. A teacher or educator must recommend students via the KEY Camp Teacher Recommendation form available at caspercollege.augusoft.net.
 
COST: The $640 fee includes instruction, room and board, evening activities, classroom and laboratory materials, equipment, and computer usage. For students accepted into the program, a deposit of $150 is due by Friday, April 17, 2020. The final payment must be received by Friday, May 15, 2020.
 
APPLY: Applications are available at caspercollege.augusoft.net starting Friday, Feb. 21, 2020. Applications are not complete until the college receives a teacher recommendation, also available on the website. Enrollment is limited. Qualified students are accepted first-come, first-served until the program is full. The program may fill before the stated deadline. Acceptance emails will be sent to students Friday, March 27, 2020.
