There are hundreds of tomato varieties growing today, but long ago, there were only two native tomato plants, and both still exist. Explore this and other discoveries examining archaeological sites and evidence of horticulture and agriculture across North and South America, including mysterious high-altitude constructions in the Andes Mountains that have recently been reinterpreted as an unexpected part of ancient agriculture. Learn about the origins of companion planting, including the well-known "Three Sisters" tradition, and discover how the original planting combinations differed from many modern interpretations.
