What is KEY
Knowledge Enrichment for Youth (KEY) is a one-week summer residential program for young people who are intellectually curious and excited to learn.

When

• Week 1: June 9-14, 2024
• Week 2: June 16-21, 2024

Who
Students who are entering grades 7 or 8 in the fall of 2024. (Current 6th and 7th graders.)
 
Why
To offer unique educational experiences for young people in a breadth of subject areas. Excellent teachers and camp counselors will guide student learning and interactions. Students will return home with new skills, energy, and friends.
 
Cost
The $660 fee includes instruction, room and board, classroom and laboratory materials, extracurricular activities, supervision, and a t-shirt. Campers stay in the secured residence halls. Teachers, a nurse, a head counselor, counselors, and a coordinator all support campers during their time at camp.
 
Scholarships may be available through your school or school district or organizations such as Kiwanis, Eagles, Elks, or Lions. Individual fundraising is also a great way to raise money (car washes, bake sales, etc.). Limited scholarships may also be available.
 
Important Dates

• Applications open: February 26, 2024
• Application deadline: April 18, 2024
• Notified of acceptance or waitlisted via email: April 25, 2024
• $160 non-refundable deposit due: May 2, 2024
• Final payment due: May 23, 2024

Online Applications
Only completed applications will be considered. A completed application consists of the parent/student application and teacher recommendation.

• Enrollment is limited. The program may fill with qualified applicants before the application deadline. Completed applications are accepted first-come, first-served until the program is full.
• There is no fee to apply.
• Parents will receive an email notifying them if their child has been accepted into the program or is on the waitlist.

Waitlists
If we receive your application and the camp is full, we will place you on the waitlist and notify you via email. We will contact you if an opening becomes available.
 
Payments
Payment must be paid in full. No exceptions.
 
Cancellation Policy
You must cancel your registration 20 or more business days before your camp start date to receive a refund for camp tuition less the deposit fee. There is no refund if you cancel 19 or fewer business days before the camp start date. The camp start date is the Sunday of the camp week you will be attending.
