ClassGraphic Named after outcroppings of sandstone resembling unusual formations and vertical cliffs, Castle Gardens Petroglyph Site features petroglyphs carved into the rock faces. Many of these petroglyphs depict water turtles and circular shields, as well as animal and human figures. Discover the historical significance of this unique place with Bureau of Land Management employees, including an archaeologist. This outing includes a fine, crushed-gravel walking trail with elevation changes. Dress for the weather, wear sturdy shoes, and bring a sack lunch and water. Register and complete travel paperwork by Friday, Aug. 28. No refunds will be issued after the registration deadline. Driving your own vehicle is not permitted.
