ClassGraphic In 1932 and 1933, millions of Ukrainians were killed in a man-made famine engineered by the Soviet government. The term Holodomor means death by hunger in Ukrainian, which became synonymous with this forced starvation resulting from Soviet policies. Due to the Iron Curtain, very little was known at the time of this tragic genocide of the Ukrainian peasantry who resisted the Communist Party and Josef Stalin. Borscht and bread will be served.
