CourseGraphic The average annual rainfall for the Casper area is 12.5 inches: a third of the rain that most other areas from Seattle to Austin get in the same period. There are new challenges with the increase in moisture and lower spring temperatures such as battles with fungus and suppressed pollinators. We will look at water on the planet, the Great Inland Sea that created our soils, water sources for gardens, containment and distribution methods, and maintaining moisture in permaculture gardens. There will be a lunch break. You will have time to go off campus to get lunch or bring a sack lunch. Computer skills are beneficial to access resources available online.
