Over the last 10 years many fruit shrubs and native plants have been tried, tested and tortured by nature at the Refuge Permaculture Center west of Casper. This class covers plants for Casper and Central Wyoming: choosing plants for a permaculture garden; maintenance, care, and uses of those plants and plant installation for year-round flowers, fruit, color and shelter. A photo album of plants and their descriptions is available to participants on Facebook. Downloadable handouts will be available for students who bring a flash drive. Computer skills are not necessary for the class, but ability and interest in Internet research are strongly recommended. You may bring a sack lunch, or time will be provided to eat off campus.
