ClassGraphic Join us for a lecture about rock art, the ancient form of visual expression that spans cultures and continents. Explore the rich diversity of rock art in Wyoming, from pictographs to petroglyphs, and discover how, when, and why people created it. Discuss the importance of rock art conservation and preservation. Then, enjoy a field trip to Castle Gardens, a spectacular rock art site. This trip is challenging due to uneven surfaces, the absence of restroom facilities, and limited places to rest. Wear clothing and shoes suitable for walking. Bring a sack lunch, water, and a camera if you have one. Driving your own vehicle is not permitted.
