ClassGraphic Explore Independence Rock with a National Historic Trails Interpretive Center expert. Learn about emigrants who traversed the Oregon, Mormon Pioneer, and California Trails between 1840 and 1869. This trip involves climbing, walking, primitive trails, and elevation changes, with no wheelchair access. Bringing a child 10 or older is NOT a requirement, but this is a kid-friendly class. Each participant must register for this class individually. Anyone under 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult. The climate may be unsuitable for those in poor physical condition. Van departs from the Myra Fox Skelton Energy Institute parking lot. Driving your own vehicle is not permitted. Wear suitable clothing, hiking shoes, and bring a sack lunch and water.
