Visit Independence Rock and Rattlesnake Pass with an expert from the National Historic Trails Center and learn about the emigrants that passed through this area between 1840 and 1869 on three historic trails: Oregon, Mormon Pioneer, and California. We will also talk about the Pony Express Trail. This trip is rated challenging: climbing and walking required, uneven surfaces, primitive trails with elevation changes, and no wheelchair access. Climate may not be suitable for those in poor physical condition. Driving your own vehicle is not permitted.
