Weapons, disease, and religion played crucial roles in enabling Western Europeans to dominate the globe during the past centuries. Using Jared Diamond’s book "Guns, Germs, and Steel," as a starting point, we will explore the history that made Europeans uniquely successful at colonizing and conquering. While recommended, reading Diamond’s book is not a prerequisite.
