Course number : 120041   ID : 927    Section number : OLLI
« back to classes page
The Fort Caspar Museum site began as an emigrant crossing on the historic trails corridor. Later, the site became a bridge crossing, trading post, Pony Express station, Overland Stage station, and frontier army fort. During the 1920s, Casper residents deemed it important to save the site for future generations, resulting in the Fort Caspar Museum. We will explore the development of the museum from 1936 to today.
