Louis Zamperini was an Olympic runner who competed in the 1936 Olympics and later became a WWII Army Air Force bombardier. On an ill-fated mission, Zamperini’s plane was shot down over the Pacific Ocean. He survived and began an ordeal that tested his endurance until the end of the war. Based upon Laura Hillenbrand’s book, "Unbroken," the film recounts his remarkable story. The first class will be a book discussion and overview of the movie; reading the book is not a requirement. We will have dinner and watch the film during the second class. Oct. 10 is the last day to receive a fee refund.
