Join us for a field trip to remember this early Wyoming railroad. Some of the best remnants of its infrastructure are in Converse and Natrona counties. Gather at the National Historic Trails Interpretive Center at 8 a.m. for a van ride to Douglas to view railroad rolling stock before returning to Casper along the C&NW route, stopping at trestles and stone culverts. We will head west to Waltman to learn about the heyday of sheep raising in central Wyoming. Participants will walk on uneven terrain for 300 yards. Bring a sack lunch and dress appropriately.
