Canine Hiking Basics

Navigate the fundamentals of hiking safely and confidently with your dog. Cover essential gear, trail etiquette, conditioning, and how to prepare for varying terrain and weather. Build knowledge and skills to make outdoor adventures safe, fun, and rewarding for you and your canine companion. A liability release is required. Bring proof of rabies, DHPP, and Bordetella vaccinations. Register one human per dog, and ensure your dog is friendly and nonreactive to people and other dogs.
