The Wyoming Association of Municipal Clerks and Treasurers (WAMCAT) and Casper College are collaborating for the Wyoming Municipal Institute for the next three years. The three-year institute is composed of 120 hours of training specifically for municipal clerks and treasurers.
The coursework includes topics such as public administration and organization, social and interpersonal issues, management, and technology related training. At the end of the three-year institute, municipal clerks and treasurers will receive the Certified Municipal Clerks (CMC) or Master Municipal Clerk International Institute of Municipal Clerks (IIMC) points to apply to certifications. This institute also provides Association of Public Treasurers (APT) credit.
