Saddle up and join us at the National Historic Trails Interpretive Center for a morning of information, education, and fun! Get a personal tour of the center galleries and exhibits, and watch the brief "Footsteps to the West” presentation. Between 1840 and 1869, approximately 500,000 emigrants traveled through the Casper area on three National Historic Trails: the Oregon Trail, the Mormon Trail, and the California Trail. Their frontier stories and those of the Native Americans, along with the Pony Express, are retold through seven interactive exhibits and multimedia programs. Walking and standing are part of this class, and wearing comfortable shoes is recommended.
