Pioneers faced numerous challenges, including a lack of water, food, diseases, accidents, Indigenous peoples, and more. Discuss the reasons emigrants chose to embark on a perilous westward journey. Simulate the westward trip using a game format and discover how not being properly prepared could prove deadly for the wagon trains.
