Course number : 140014   ID : 1590    Section number : OLLI
« back to classes page
ClassGraphic Rock the crib with us as we learn, or relearn, the rules of cribbage, an old English game: the card game with the pegboard. We will familiarize ourselves with two- and threehanded versions of cribbage, play some rounds, and discuss cribbage history and its overlooked contributions to our vocabulary. Cribbage is a fun and intensely social game that can reconnect us with the grandparents who initially instructed us, hone math skills, and develop strategic thinking. In the game of pones, you may win or you may get skunked. The last class session will be in a pub-like setting to create a true cribbage experience.
