Prepare to be an asbestos abatement project supervisor by taking the Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act (AHERA) asbestos abatement contractor/supervisor certification class. Topics covered include the history of asbestos use, potential health risks, legal and insurance considerations, and OSHA and EPA regulations. Learn how to locate asbestos, prepare work areas, construct a decontamination unit, clean a work area, conduct air and bulk sampling, as well as analytical methodology and disposal requirements.
