Visit Martin’s Cove historic site with experts from the Cove and the National Historic Trails Interpretive Center. Learn about the emigrants that passed through the area between 1840 and 1869. Participants will get a first-hand tour of Martin’s Cove and an up-close look at Devil’s Gate. This trip is rated challenging: climbing and walking required, uneven surfaces, primitive trails with elevation changes, no wheelchair access. The class may not be suitable for those in poor physical condition. Bring a sack lunch, water, snacks, and wear clothing and shoes suitable for walking. Driving your own vehicle is not allowed. Vans depart from the Myra Fox Skeleton Energy Institute parking lot.
