CourseGraphic On a beautiful summer day in 1864, a small group of travelers on their way to the Idaho gold fields were attached by a band of Sioux on the banks of the Little Box Elder Creek in Wyoming. Thus began Fanny Kelly’s months of enslavement through a bitter plains winter. In this reenactment presentation, Fanny Kelly recounts her story of being kidnapped, life among her captors, and her eventual release and return home.
