CourseGraphic The Beatles dominated the 1960s and are still culturally and musically important today. Their fame and talent morphed into a phenomenon known as Beatlemania. Trace their early years in Liverpool, explore their musical and personal influences, and examine the events that led to the group’s eventual demise. Listen to their music from the earliest, simple recordings to the layered techniques of their Abbey Road recordings. Gain new insight into familiar songs and how the group developed their expressive musical vocabulary. However well you think you know the Beatles’ music you will experience it on a deeper level in this class.
