An epic and classic drama starring Charlton Heston as an aristocratic Jew in Judaea who incurs the wrath of a childhood friend, now a Roman tribune. Forced into slavery on a galley and compelled to witness the cruel persecution of his family, Ben-Hur survives, dreaming of vengeance. Dinner will include food people ate during Jesus’ lifetime in the first century when the film takes place. Ben-Hur is three hours and 44 minutes long. This class will begin earlier than our usual dinner and a movie class. We will watch the first part of the film, break for intermission and dinner, and resume watching the film. Friday, March 27, is the last day to receive a refund.
