CourseGraphic From maps to myths, Grace Raymond Hebard embraced what she called “The Romance of Wyoming.” Explore that romance by examining Hebard’s incredible contributions to the young state, including how her philosophy on citizenship influenced how Wyoming decided on its state symbols. We will discuss Hebard’s vision for Wyoming from her arrival in 1882 to her death in 1936 and her influence, accomplishments, controversies, and legacy. We will discuss Hebard and women’s rights from her accomplishments in male-dominated fields to her activism on the national stage.
