This class covers the basics of Musicianship for Recording, emphasizing its importance in contemporary audio production. Students will gain hands-on experience with state-of-the-art equipment, allowing them to hear the subtle nuances of performance-based recordings. Students will also be introduced to techniques in recording, understanding microphones, analog-to-digital converters, gain structure, balance, and blend based on frequency and the audio spectrum.

Note: There will be a one-hour break for lunch during each class period.
